"Our Town" depicts the everyday life the citizens of the fictional community of Grover's Corners, New Hampshire between the years of 1901 and 1913. Of the production, Lowenstein says, "We are taking a contemporary look at the play by way of inter-racially casting the principal players and doing the play in modern dress. The play is as relevant today as it was in 1938 and we want make the audience feel that 'Our Town' is their town, then and now. Without changing any of the text we have cast the Stage Manager role with five women who take turns having their chance to comment on the action and point out the connections between the play and the modern audience."

Martine H. Angell, of Holland Patent, N.Y., is a senior liberal studies major, and the production's stage manager (not to be confused with the role of Stage Manager, which wil be played by four different actors. Angell notes that she has been involved with theatre since she was four years old, both on and off stage. She says, "This is the first time I have managed a show, and I have learned a lot from David about both managing and directing a production."
